The Alba Public Library and Museum welcomes everyone - occasional visitor and devoted member alike. The library is very pleased to provide a broad range of services to the individuals who make up our community. Whether your interest is internet access, story time for toddlers, self-help, home schooling, business research or just an interesting read, the Alba Public Library and Museum is here to serve you.
Over 200 Juvenile Books Added!
The Alba Library is proud to announce that we have added over 200 new juvenile nonfiction books to our amazing children's section. This purchase was funded by Alba Friends of the Library through their fundraising activities. The books cover a wide spectrum of topics including dinosaurs, Texas, sports, crafts, "I Spy" look and find books, fairy tales, life sciences, etc. Come take a look and check out some of our amazing new books.
Children's Storytime - Every Tuesday 10:00 a.m.
Enjoy books brought to life by talented readers, including our very own Vicki Fisher. Miss Vicki is a former children's librarian who uses hand-puppets, stuffed animals, music, and active participation to entertain and delight kids of all ages.
Thursday Game Day - Cards, Dominoes, Word Games, etc.
Games and game pieces are provided by the library. Coffee and cookies, too! Come in and join the fun!
Summer Reading Begins!
Thursday, July 24: Summer Reading program begins--programs, books, fun, and refreshments. Hot Dogs (no chili) will be served on the square with juice boxes and bottled water. Elvis, the Wonder Donkey, will attend for petting, and we will have a donkey pinata on hand for the kids.
